These are tealight candle holders made of 100% satin spar, which is often mistaken for selenite, a sister stone, with the same composition.
These charming, little, mountain-shaped candle holders are designed to encase tealight candles to create subdued and atmospheric candlelit settings.
When these candle holders are lit with tealights, they emit a beautiful, sensual glow, especially when several candle holders are grouped together in either indoor or nocturnal outdoor settings.
Satin spar, a sulfate mineral, shares many of the same properties as clear, glass-like varieties of selenite. Both are different forms of the mineral gypsum and share the same metaphysical properties and chemical composition. Other siblings in the gypsum family are desert rose and alabaster.
Satin spar is fibrous, pearly, milky, translucent, silky and has fiber optic properties. It's a very stunning crystal and is often used to make candle holders in various shapes, spheres, palm stones, wands, altar knives, towers, cylinders, bowls, plates, pyramids, cubes, tumbles, and more.
Satin spar is known as other names such as feather gypsum, satin stone, satin gypsum, and plaister stone.
This crystal is ideal for charging other crystals and both clearing negative and radiating positive energy in a room. It is known as a calming, destressing stone with healing, intellectual, protective, serendipitous, freeing, creative energy, high vibrational, and cleansing properties.
Satin spar is associated with the crown and third eye chakras, the moon, the zodiac sign of Cancer and the element of water.
The stone releases a natural, very light, sparkly crystal powder on the skin when touched and can easily be scratched with a nail.
It is a hydrous material that both contains and easily absorbs water. So it must be kept away from water in order to maintain its integrity, otherwise, if constantly exposed, it can split, crumble or break apart. Keep this crystal clear of foreign particles by occasionally lightly dusting it with a smooth microfiber cloth. Protect it from stains by washing and drying your hands before handling. Keep out of direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time in order to maintain the stone's beautiful and natural satin luster.
Each candle holder slightly varies in weight, size and natural design.
