These beautiful palm stones are affectionately known as angelite and sometimes "angel stone". They have a signature, beautiful color that can be described as gray-blue, cornflower blue or periwinkle.
This unusual stone comes only from Peru.
The official name of this stone is blue anhydrite or anhydrous calcium sulfate. It is related to calcite and halite minerals. Some of the stones occasionally have natural white flecks or pale reddish-brown patches or markings.
Angelite is believed by some to be a stone that inspires and brings relaxation, calmness, peace, expanded awareness, gentleness, easy communication, fruitful and prophetic dreams, sharp intuition, mindfulness and restful sleep.
It is associated with the planet Uranus, the moon, the astrological sign of Aquarius, the element of wind, and the throat, third eye and crown chakras.
This stone is best kept away from water as it absorbs water easily. It will turn frosty white in color and convert to gypsum. It is also a delicate stone and can easily get scratched, nicked and chipped. Angelite should be kept in safe places for display and storage.
