Blue apatite is an extremely comely blue stone made of calcium phosphate. It derives its name from the Greek word, "apatao," which means "to deceive," because certain forms of this stone were often mistaken for other similar-looking crystals.
Notable features of this stone are its shimmery, semi-crystalline blue appearance, which shifts in the light, and its brilliant blue hue.
This stone, which is aligned to the throat and third eye chakras, is associated with clairvoyance, intuition, communication, understanding, spiritual guidance, spiritual cleansing, accomplishment, lucid dreaming, knowledge and astral travel.
Apatite comes in several other colors such as green, pink, and yellow, but blue is the color this crystal is more commonly known by and it is the most occurring color.
